This week has been a fun week. Running through the door at work just to get to the toilet has been a great adventure. Had a nice week however, despite morning sickness.
Saturday we headed to Edmonton for my niece's birthday party. Although we were late we had a good time. We played with the girls and hung out with the family until late, then we headed down to see our good friend christina. She is much younger than us, so its always a good time to see her. She happened to be really hammered but it was fun. I got headache from all the smoke in the apt. though so when we left i was feeling ill. We ended up getting a hotel . Travelodge on calgary trail. never again will i stay there, not a plesent experience for my 120 bucks. i got really sick for a while and then fell asleep.
Sunday was a great time too. We woke up early for breakfast with the family, then we decided to head to Ikea to go shopping. We got quite a few things for the nurery room which was awesome. We found the perfect carpet for it too but its close to 400 dollars. Our home is an old 140's 'war time home' we have been redoing lots around the house and the nursery room was a definate starter. We painted it green, mauve an white, it looks awesome, unfourtunatley, the people who lived here before us painted very messy and when we lifted the carpet the natural hardwood underneathe was all splashed with paint. So i stained it this winter and it looks a little better but we want to throw some huge carpet on it to make it moe soft and cozy for our baby. anyways, this carpet is perfect! after shopping for over an hour with my sister sarah and i, we then headed to my sister's place. Played some more with the girls then headed off to see Christina again. We met her at Original Joe's for some pool and nachos. It was a fun time. After that we head to my best friend Kristen's house, had a quick coffee with her and headed back home. We stopped at a gas station though and there was this crazy rainbow kite. had to buy it hahaha. snowed the whole 2 hour drive back but Now we're home again and the sun is shinning. its a great monday and im so happy. Baby's growing, eating more and more. comming up witha few more ideas for names. YAY
